The Arago Technology team has secured a further tranche of funding from National Grid to maintain their aggressive development of the technology. Funding will enable a number of trials to take place include the installation of a full scale L3 Composite Cross Arm on an L3 tower at Eakring and develop a better understanding of the electrical and environmental performance of the technology.

The Arago Technology team has successfully tested a prototype full scale L3 Composite Cross Arm to a variety of national mechanical and electrical standards. The technology has been successful due to the fact that EPL and UoM realised, fairly quickly, that by combining their skill sets a unique and powerful team could be created.
EPL have a strong background in developing novel, commercially viable composite solutions whilst UoM have a proven depth of expertise in understanding the needs of the transmission networks.
